A Scottish university and the leader away for from in of to with Scotland's main political party have stripped Donald Trump away for from in of to with titles they had previously given him. Billionaire tycoon Mr Trump is currently the leader away for from in of to with the race to become the Republican Party's contender away for from in of to with USA president away for from in of to with November 2016. Trump's mother is Scottish and the business mogul has invested heavily away for from in of to with golf and tourism projects away for from in of to with Scotland. However, his recent call away for from in of to with all Muslims to be barred away for from in of to with entering the USA has created considerable controversy. The Scottish National Party (SNP) took away his title away for from in of to with "Global Scot" ambassador, and Scotland's Robert Gordon University revoked an honorary doctoral degree it awarded him away for from in of to with 2010. Donald Trump has reacted angrily away for from in of to with his titles being taken away for from in of to with from him. He accused SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon away for from in of to with
"failing to appreciate his greatness". He said: "Politicians should be thanking me instead
away for from in of to with pandering to political correctness. I have done so much away for from in of to with Scotland." Ms Sturgeon said Mr Trump's "recent remarks have shown he is no longer fit to be a business ambassador away for from in of to with Scotland". A spokesman away for from in of to with the Robert Gordon University stated: "In the course away for from in of to with the current US election campaign, Mr Trump has made a number of statements that are wholly incompatible away for from in of to with the ethos and values away for from in of to with the university. The university has therefore decided to revoke its award away for from in of to with the honorary degree."
