The Switch was unveiled in 2016 and released worldwide in 2017. It is a hybrid console. It can be used as a standalone device. Its controllers have motion sensing and tactile feedback. These support handheld-style play, like the Nintendo Wii. Gamers can play online as well as on a local wireless network. Developers have created over 320 games for Switch. Sales have been led by Nintendo-created games such as The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing.
