A Filipino gymnast won two gold medals at the Paris Olympics. He is the second Filipino ever to win gold. Carlos Yulo, 24, won in the men's floor and vault events. He is now a hero. He will get many gifts when he goes home. A real estate company will give him an apartment. The government will give him $173,000. He will also get free ramen and grilled chicken for life. If this food gives him stomach problems, a clinic will give him free medical care.
The Philippines' president congratulated Mr Yulo. He wrote: "No words can express how proud we are of you. Filipinos all over the world stood united, cheering and rooting for you." Yulo was surprised. He said: "I was just hoping to perform well. I didn't really expect a medal." His second medal felt like a bonus for him. He said: "I was so hyped because I had won that gold medal the day before". He added: "I dedicate this to all the Filipino people."
