Disney is cutting hundreds of jobs. Since 2023, it has cut more than 8,000 jobs worldwide. The company wants to reduce its costs. The new job losses are in marketing. A spokesperson told the Fox Business website that as the industry changes, Disney would continue to manage all of its business, and keep being creative. He added that consumers want creativity and innovation. Disney's CEO said the cuts would keep the company healthy.
Disney is one of the world's most famous companies. It was founded in 1923. In 1928, it made a film called "Steamboat Willie". This was one of the first cartoons with sound. It was also the debut of Mickey Mouse. Disney is now a big entertainment company. It owns animation companies like Pixar and Marvel Studios, and big names like National Geographic. It also has many theme parks around the world. It will build a new park in Abu Dhabi.
