Many people do their best to take the perfect photograph. In particular, influencers are trying hard to do this. They want all their fans and followers to see their photos. Some influencers are risking their lives by swimming with and touching sharks. Naturally, things can go wrong. One example of this is a rise in the number of people bitten by sharks. The host of the Shark Bytes YouTube channel, Kristian Parton, says he is worried. He is hearing about "way more" shark attacks than ever before. He warned: "We're talking about a true apex predator – a very large wild animal." He added: "You wouldn't walk into the Serengeti [on safari] and try to put your hand on the face of a lion."

1. VOCABULARY EXTENSION: Choose several of the words from the text. Use a dictionary or Google’s search field (or another search engine) to build up more associations / collocations of each word.
2. INTERNET: Search the Internet and find out more about this news story. Share what you discover with your partner(s) in the next lesson.
3. INFLUENCERS: Make a poster about influencers. Show your work to your classmates in the next lesson. Did you all have similar things?
4. WILDLIFE BAN: Write a magazine article about banning people from taking photos of any wildlife that is endangered or dangerous. Include imaginary interviews with people who are for and against this.
