A man Brazil had a sad experience in his search love. Mr X, 49, sold everything he owned to get enough money to see a woman he met online. He travelled 2,000 kilometres bus. He first met her online in 2020 and fell love with her. He wanted to marry her. Her name was Jessica. Her online profile read: "I really want to support you. I want you to come to my farm and never work again your life." Mr X went to meet her the city of Belo Horizonte, but he could not find her. He showed people photos her, but nobody knew who she was. He then found that she was not real. She was created AI. The man was sad. He said: "I came here to find happiness."
Mr X's story shows how risky it can be to look love online. Many people feel lonely and want to find a partner. However, they can be easily tricked because AI can make people who look and sound real. Jessica's social media account had 300,000 followers. She looked a real woman. The person who created Jessica said they made her to get people's attention online. They wanted to use the AI Jessica to help sell things. Mr X wants people to be careful so they don't make a similar mistake the future. It is important to check the identity a person you meet online carefully. The man said: "Sometimes, loneliness home causes many problems a person's life."
