The Reading / Listening - Walking - Level 0

A British man has finished a 28-year walk around the world. Karl Bushby started his walk in 1998 in Chile. He didn't use cars, boats, buses, trains, or airplanes. He walked 58,000 kilometres through 29 countries. He crossed deserts, mountains, and jungles. He had problems with visas and borders, so his trip took a long time.

Thousands of people welcomed Mr Bushby home. His mother greeted him outside his home. He told waiting crowds that he finished his trip across four continents with help from people around the world. Bushby said he wasn't so interested in walking. He said: "It's boring as hell." A movie will be made about his adventure.
