Paraguay put on an impressive display to beat Slovakia 2-0. They totally dominated their opponents, who didn’t have a shot on target until the 92nd minute. The South Americans pushed for goal from the opening whistle. They always looked dangerous in front of goal. In contrast, Slovakia rarely put a creative move together. Paraguay’s first goal came in the 27th minute and was beautifully worked. Lucas Barrios split the Slovakian defense with a precision pass that Enrique Vera curled past the ‘keeper with the outside of his boot.
